Safety stock is considered a product and it indicates the minimum amount of the balance in stock in order to prevent shortage of product between a purchase or production request and its receipt when there is consumption above average or delay in supply. The amount defined as safety stock is considered when calculating the order point executed through Economic Lot Calculation.

It can be entered through a formula registered by Formulas.

Example:

Safety Stock must be 10% of Order Point.

1. The following formula must be registered (Formulas):

Code: XXX

Content: SB1->B1_EMIN * 0.1

(whereB1_EMIN is the field Order Point).

2. The code XXX must be entered in the field Safety Stock Formula.
