02.1. Common Simulation

To perform the Depreciation Simulation, access the routine ATFA350 (SIGACTB > Updates > Transactions > Simulation):

  1. In Depreciation Simulation, click Add.
  2. A screen is displayed with the goals of the routine. Click Next.
  3. Set the depreciation simulation parameters as desired. See below a description of the questions and an example of completion:
    1. Code: simulation code.
    2. Revision: simulation Version.
    3. Initial Period: the system displays the date of the last depreciation in the current branch.
    4. Periods to be processed: enter the periods in months to be processed.
    5. Modifier Asset: enter the base code of the modifier assets for this simulation.
    6. From Branch: initial branch of the Assets to be simulated.
    7. To Branch: final branch of the Assets to be simulated.
    8. Use Assets: Enter which assets to use in the Depreciation Simulation. Actual, Planned or Both.
  4. After setting parameters, click NEXT.

  5. A screen is displayed for filtering the asset groups to be part of the simulation and of the accounting entities, as needed. The example below shows how to do this for all asset groups and for a specific account:

        The entities filtered are, for ledger account the field N3_CCONTAB, cost center N3_CCUSTO, accounting item N3_SUBCTA, and for Value Class N3_CLVL.

  6. After selecting the desired groups and entities, click Next. The step for entering modifier assets is displayed. Click Next again, as we will not use modifier assets.

  7. The system notifies you that it has no modifier asset. Click Yes to continue.

  8. Now, the system asks whether you want to simulate now or not. Set it to Yes and click Finish.
  9. Wait for the simulation processing to complete. When it is over, the data from the SNS table will be fed with the simulations performed as set in routine parameters.
