In this folder, data of product identification are displayed, such as code, type of product, primary and secondary unit of measurement, etc.

• Type

Products can be grouped according to a certain type, so that you can restrict the execution in some processes, reports, and queries through the parameterization available.

Example:

• AI - Fixed Asset.
• BN - Processing.
• EM - Packaging.
• GG - General Expenses.
• MC - Consumption Material.
• ME - Product.
• MO - Labor Force.
• MP - Raw-Material.
• PA - Finished Product.
• PI - Intermediate Product.
• PP - Product in Process.
• PV - Vehicle Product.
• RE - Residues.
• SL - Control Stamp.
• SP - Sub-product.

You can create your own types through the Table 02 defined in Configurator environment. However, it must match the chart of accounts.

Types of products are only informative and they must be used to facilitate the filtering.

The only type that is processed differently in the system is BN type, that identifies products that are processed by the company or that are sent for processing.

Finished and intermediate products are identified by the definition of their production structures.

• Standard Unit of Measurement

It is used in all transactions, from purchase to sale.

• Second Unit of Measurement

It is used in transactions in which the parts work with different units of measurement, obtained from the conversion factor determined.

• Conversion Type

It determines how the second unit of measurement is obtained: multiplying or dividing the first unit of measurement by the conversion factor.

• Conversion Factor

Value to be applied to the first unit of measurement to obtain the second one, according to the conversion type.

Example:

1st Unit of Measurement  = 3 Kg

Conversion Factor = 1000

Conversion Type = Multiplication

2nd Unit of Measurement  = 3000g

• Purchase Group

Enter the standard purchaser group for the product.

If the requester is not registered in any group, the system automatically considers the standard purchaser group entered in this field for the product in the Competence Control routine.

It allows you to add a standard TIO for inflow and outflow transactions of this product for calculation of applicable taxes, inventory update and other definitions associated to TIO Register.
