The purpose of this document is to guide the user to use the External Sharing feature. It also shows the step-by-step instructions to make a platform document public, making external access easier. Allows sharing internal platform documents externally with people who do not have a fluig platform account.

Share document externally
...
The external sharing option must only appear for common documents (e.g. docx, od, pdf, etc.). However, this option must not appear for Fluig documents (e.g. folders and forms).The external sharing feature is not valid for the “My documents” folder, as it is each user’s private folder.
Share document externally
Follow the steps below to share a document externally:
01. Find the document to be shared externally
02. Click “More options” options next to the document name 03. Click “Properties”and select the option Properties.
0403. Click the “Security” tab tab.
05. Find and select the “Share externally?” field field.
06. Click Confirm.

The externally shared document will be identified by the globe icon, indicating that the document is available to be shared externally. |
Copy URL of externally shared document
Follow the steps below to copy the URL of the document and share where necessary.
01. Find the externally shared document identified by the globe icon.
02. Click “More options” next Share next to the document name.
03. Select “Copy external link”.

The URL will be available for sharing. Attention Externally shared text documents are automatically downloaded by the browser used to view the document. Web images are displayed normally. |
