Size of field Receipt and Issue Fiscal Document Number and all its dependencies was changed to comply with legal provisions described in Legislation topic.

From this change effectiveness, the user can register invoices containing 6 or 9 digits. However, some recommendations must be followed:

In goods or services inflow, the user can receive documents containing 6 or 9 digits, according to original document. The document must be registered as follows.

1. Field Docum. Spec. must be filled in according to fiscal document model, considering that for electronic invoices, the field must be filled in with SPED.

2. In goods outflow, the six-digit numbering is used. In order to use 9-digit numbering, a new invoice series must be created, with 9 digits. Bear in mind that electronic invoices must have 9-digit series.


All these changes make the following impacts in the System:

1. Invoices determined before this adjustment are not changed; that is, they keep six digits with blank spaces to the right. This option expresses our constant concern with legacy.

2. Magnetic means always show the last six digits, in order to avoid loss due to existing customizations. Except for new magnetic means, the maximum digit limit in the layout be respected.

3. This change may impact customizations if there is any customer fields that refer to the number of issue or receipt document. In this situation, fields must be changed, informing group 018 (SXG), which is the group responsible for management of size of fiscal document field and all its dependencies.

4. For the upcoming magnetic means, the maximum amount of digits adopted by the layout must be respected.
