It is represented by the beginning and end of a range of dates. From 1 to 99 periods can be registered in a single accounting year.
There are two options available:
Period | Start Date | End Date | Period Status |
01 | 1/1/04 | 12/31/04 | Open |
In this case, only one line is entered for the accounting period.
Note that start and end dates of each period are not restricted to first and last days of the month.
For example:
Period | Start Date | End Date | Period Status |
01 | 1/1/04 | 2/2/04 | Open |
02 | 2/3/04 | 2003/04 | Open |
03 | 3/21/04 | 5/31/04 | Open |
04 | 6/1/04 | 7/14/04 | Open |
05 | 7/15/04 | 8/30/04 | Open |
06 | 9/1/04 | 9/30/04 | Open |
Tip: There is no limitation of open periods in SIGACTB, since the control of accounting calendars is made by Year + Period. Therefore, if maximum number of open periods (99) has exhausted in an Accounting Year, just use a new Accounting Year. |
