The review is used when the original budget does not match the company reality anymore and must be edited. Thus, the menu option Review can be used to review a budget already registered.
Once you review it, a new budget is created with a used code and the Review field increased by 1 unit.
Important: Differences between Review and Edit In Review budget data may be edited, such as entities and values, but always keeping a history of budgets already performed. Therefore, when reviewing a budget, a new one is always going to be generated with field Review increased by 1. Example In inclusion Budget Code: 0001 - Review: 001 In review Budget Code: 0001 - Review: 002 In Edition budget data can also be edited, such as entities and values; however, it does not generate a new budget. Thus, the budget history is lost. |
Tip: For budget control and analysis, many companies prefer to review their budgets and keep their history, so they can have an overall view of what they went right and what they missed when trying to foresee the future. |
Procedures
Reviewing a budget:
1. In Budgets maintenance window, place the cursor on the record you want and select Review option.
The screen Budget Register - Review is displayed, divided into areas:
2. Edit data, if necessary.
3. Check the data and confirm.
Note that a new budget was generated with a new review number. However, budget of the previous review was not deleted in the database, being displayed with status Budget Reviewed.
