Speaking of cutting and pasting a folder or document...
The platform allows documents to be moved from one folder to another, regardless of the volume related to the source and target folders. However, the target folder cannot be one with approvers.
Moving sub-folders and card index is only possible when the volume related to the target folder is identical to the volume related to the source folder/form or when the source folder is the main folder (root) of a volume. This restriction is required because this feature physically transfers the files to the target folder volume and, in extreme situations of a massive number of files or very large files, the transfer can time out, resulting in problems.
The platform does not allow moving folders with quota control, since upon enabling this control, a quota value can be defined for each folder, and when moving, inconsistencies could be generated if the user attempts to move a folder of a higher value to another folder of a lower value.
Cut and paste a document or folder
01. Access the location where the folder or document is posted.
02. Select the folders and documents and click on the Cut option.
03. Access the desired target folder to which it will be moved.
04. In the location to which the folder or document will be moved, click on Paste, located in the action bar on the top left of the window.
When clicking on Paste, the folder or document is physically moved to the target location and a message confirming the publication is displayed.
