Speaking of user credentials...

In this section, you can parameterize whether the use of the personal password will be allowed for access by basic users in this company in Identity. See the complete documentation on Personal password (in Portuguese language) for more information.

You can also set whether basic users will be allowed to exchange their e-mail through the My Profile option (documentation in Portuguese language).

Enable the use of personal password

01. Click the Settings icon in the top-right corner and select Security

02Access the User credentials feature.

03. Check the Enable personal password option to allow company users to set a personal password in Identity.

With this option enabled, the user's personal password will be registered on their first access to Identity. For users imported from Active Directory, Identity does not require personal password registration, but the user can do so through the My Profile option (documentation in Portuguese language).

Multi-context

If the user is registered in more than one company and has used the personal password to authenticate in Identity, when they try to make the switch to a company that does not allow login via personal password, access will be denied, and they must authenticate using the Active Directory credentials of the company they want to access.

Disable the use of personal password

01. Click the Settings icon in the top-right corner and select Security.

02Access the User credentials feature.

03. Uncheck the Enable personal password option to allow company users to set a personal password in Identity.

With this option disabled, the Self-registration feature (documentation in Portuguese language), where users manually register with the company through a link on the login page, will be disabled. Users will be able to access Identity only with their Active Directory password, and the personal Launchpad will be disabled.

However, for security reasons, even with this option disabled, administrators can always authenticate in context using their personal password. This rule also applies to the context switching feature.

Multi-context

If the user is registered in more than one company and has used the personal password to authenticate in Identity, when they try to make the switch to a company that does not allow login via personal password, access will be denied, and they must authenticate using the Active Directory credentials of the company they want to access.

Enable e-mail exchange

01. Click the Settings icon in the top right corner and select Security.

02Access the User credentials feature.

03. Check the Enable e-mail exchange option to set that users in the company can exchange e-mails.

The administrator will see a confirmation message stating the following:

  • The new e-mail address is not automatically overwritten in the applications associated with the user.
  • The new e-mail address entered by the user must be unique in Identity.
  • Email exchange is not synchronized with Active Directory.
  • If the user is registered in more than one company in Identity, e-mail exchange will only occur if this option is enabled in all of them.

04. Click Enable to allow e-mail exchange.

By doing that, e-mail exchange will be enabled for basic users in the My Profile menu (documentation in Portuguese language). This exchange can only be performed by users themselves, not by an administrator.

Disable e-mail exchange

01. Click the Settings icon in the top right corner and select Security.

02. Access the User credentials feature.

03. Uncheck the Enable e-mail exchange option to prevent company users from exchanging e-mails.
