There are two main scenarios where it is recommendable the use of load balance between Application Servers: lack of resources of hardware in a single physical server and the excess of memory consumption or processor in a single executable Appserver.exe.
For the first case, we recommend you to use the load balance with Appserver instances in different physical servers. For the second case, you can use more than an instance of different physical servers or in the same server, as long as it has hardware resources enough to comprise.
