  • - Financial Restructuring - Posts and Bank Transfer

IMPORTANT: This information is exclusive to version 12 from release 12.1.1.

Is table SE5 still saved?

Yes. To ensure the customizations in use, we have chosen to keep the recording of table SE5 - Transactions and Postings in parallel with the new tables.

Do I have to change my customer's customizations?

Yes, we need the recordings in table SE5 - Transactions and Postings to be synchronized with the new tables, i.e. the customizations must now provide for the recording in the new tables.

The adjustment is not necessary, theoretically, if the recordings are executed through MsExecAuto of the standard routines. However, it is important to validate the entire process in the customer's environment.

When will the SE5 table be turned off?

Evaluating the customers' scenario, we have opted to keep the recording of table SE5 - Transactions and Postings in the system's existing routines.

However, all the innovations are based on the new tables and no longer on SE5 - Transactions and Postings.

How will the historic information from table SE5 be migrated to the new table structure?

In an attempt to avoid an overload in the release turn, the historic data migration can be performed in two ways:

  • Offline migrator

The process can be run after the version turn. We recommend you to run it in the first days of using the new version.

For more information, click here.

  • Internal migration

If you need to change some information, and the data from table SE5 - Transfers and Posts for this item still have not been migrated, this migration is performed in a transparent way.

Will queries and reports based on table SE5 change?
At each incremental release, routines that do not use table SE5 - Transfers and Posts and that focus on the new tables are made available.

Will the CNAB process change?
Not at the moment. Both the submission file generation and the return processing do not undergo changes that demand that the user reconfigures the CNAB.

Will the standard entries change?

Since table SE5 - Transactions and Postings is still active, it is not necessary to change the standard entries' configuration.

To book transfers in the new tables, we use the Tables x Entry Points (CTBA092) configuration and pre-defined public variables.

Will integrations to other products be affected?

There are no changes, since table SE5 - Transactions and Postings is still active. However, during the course of the incremental releases, the integrations with the Financial module will be reviewed by the responsible teams to ensure the correct recording of data in the new tables as well.

Will the tax calculations at bill posting change?

Nothing has changed. The tax calculation at posting does not undergo changes in the calculation method, but it is saved in the new tables.

Why was table SE5 - Transfers and Posts restructured?

The restructuring aims to:

    • Normalize the posts and bank transfers information.
    • Allow the evolution of the Financials module.

Must new customizations follow the new tables or the SE5 - Transfers and Posts?

We recommend that you use the new tables since the information will be normalized.

Is it possible to turn off saving in table SE5 - Transfers and Posts and use only the new tables?

No. To keep the legacy base with its customizations running, we must keep recording in both modes.
