How to configure Event Viewer to trigger warnings

Product:

Microsiga Protheus

Versions:

11 and 12

Step by step:

The Event Viewer routine aims to record some predefined events occurring in the Protheus environment, through the routine itself, by email or RSS. To activate the resource:

- To receive the events by e-mail, the E-mail/Proxy configuration must be enabled with a valid SMTP to e-mail reports. Click the link to know more about the E-mail/Proxy setup: http://tdn.totvs.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=271166884

- The user must have an e-mail in their Register in the Configurator.

- The user must also have Access 174 (access to registration in EventViewer events) enabled.

- After the initial settings, go to menu Miscellaneous > Event Viewer Reg. in the mode you are accessing to enable the event.
- The example is based on the creation of an Event Viewer to trigger an e-mail when a new customer registration is created.

- On the Event Viewer reading registration screen, click Include.

- In Channel, select 002 - Environments.

- In Category, click on the magnifying glass and select Modules, then press the TAB key.

- In Event Id, click on the magnifying glass and select 032 - Inclusion of Customers.

- In E-mail, select Y - Yes.
- Click Confirm.

- From then on, the user will be able to receive an e-mail when the event that triggers the registered action occurs. For more information about the events, we recommend contacting the support team of the corresponding module.

- In addition to receiving the event by e-mail, you can also view the events on Smartclient:

  • In Protheus 12, click the letter icon in the upper right corner.

  • In Protheus 11, click the gear icon in the lower right corner, and then click Event Viewer.

- If you do not select any of the notification options, you will only view the events in the Protheus environment.

- Event viewing is only possible if the user is previously registered for such functionality.

- An event will only be deleted if the user views it, receives it by e-mail, reads via RSS, or marks it as read.

- All events sent by e-mail will be marked as read.
