02. DESCRIPTION
Parameter MV_AFJ103D defines whether to physically delete the records processed by routine ATFJob103 (Accounting Reprocessing of Fixed Assets) from the database.
Functionality:
- To control how to manage the data of accounting reprocessing of fixed assets, specifically whether to physically remove them from the system after reprocessing.
Possible values:
- T (True): Setting it with this value physically removes records after reprocessing.
- F (False): Setting it with this value does not physically remove the records, keeping them in the system marked as deleted.
Application:
- Use it to optimize the maintenance of data related to the accounting reprocessing of fixed assets.
- In environments the reprocessing history of which must be preserved for auditing or control, set the value to F so as to keep the data in the system.
- When there is no need to keep these records after reprocessing, you can use the value T to physically remove the data and free up space in the database.
Considerations:
- The physical removal of records can be useful for freeing up space in the database, but you should use it with caution, especially in systems that require detailed audits.
- Before setting the parameter to delete data, make sure there is no need to revisit or audit the reprocessed data.
Importance:
- To help manage the volume of data in the system, optimizing performance and the use of disk space.
- To control the preservation of accounting histories, which can be critical for some companies that need to keep the full history of all accounting processes.
Relationship with other parameters:
- It may be associated with other reprocessing management parameters and accounting record maintenance, such as MV_CTBLIMC (accounting divergence tolerance limit) and MV_CTBJOB (setting of job use for accounting reprocessing).
