Speaking of copying and pasting folder or document...

This feature allows you to create document copies, mirror documents and folders posted on the platform. However, the target folder cannot be a copy that has approvers.

When a document is copied from one folder to another, only the last version of the document is duplicated, instead of the previous versions. The copied file starts having control of versions regardless of the control done for the original file.

Remember that there are several types of documents, such as an extension file supported by the platform, an article, an external document, and others. However, you cannot copy and paste a form or a form record.

The platform does not allow copying folders with quota control, since upon enabling this control, a quota value can be defined for each folder, and when copying, inconsistencies could be generated if the user attempts to move a folder of a higher value to another folder of a lower value.

Copy and paste folder or document

For allowing a folder or document to be copied, the target folder cannot have approval configured. The user must have write permission at the source folder and the destination folder.

01. Access the location where the folder or document is posted.

02. Select the folders and documents and click on the Copy option.

03. Access the desired target folder to post the copy.

04. In the target folder, click on Paste, located in the action bar on the top left of the window.

A message stating the document has been posted successfully will be displayed.

Documents located inside copied folders will only be copied if the person has at least modify permissions on the document.
