 The Microsiga Protheus® system uses some general and specific configuration called parameters.

A parameter is a variable that operates as a key element in executing determined processes. According to its content, different results can be obtained.

Billing module use several parameters, some of them are common to other System modules. If they are changed, the configuration will continue to be valid for the other System modules.

Some of these parameters are mere generic configurations like the configuration of peripherals (printers, for example), opening dates, currency nomenclatures, etc.
