Speaking of notifications...
This feature allows to define a pattern for sending notifications to new users related to the company. This change does not affect already registered users because there is already a notification center configured for them.
Access notification settings
01. In the main menu, click Control Panel, then check People container and click Notifications.
The default notification settings for new users are set on this screen, however each user can enable/disable sending notifications in their Notification Center. More information is available in Platform ❙ Notification settings.
Configure default notifications for new users
01. In the main menu, click Control Panel, then check People container and click Notifications.
02. In the section Define the means of notification available, define the means of notifications that your company’s users can receive.
The means of notifications available are:
- Approval: When enabled, push notifications on the Approval application will be received. After enabling the feature, ON is displayed, indicating that the feature is active. When that feature is disabled, OFF is displayed.
- E-mail: when enabled, it determines that the notifications from the company can be sent to users by e-mail. After you enable it, ON is displayed, indicating that the feature is active. When that feature is disabled, OFF is displayed.
- Push: when enabled, it determines that push notifications from the company can be sent to users. After you enable it, ON is displayed, indicating that the feature is active. When that feature is disabled, OFF is displayed.
03. Define the type of notifications.
Type of notifications
The notification settings panel consists of cards. You can define the event notifications related to Documents, Processes, Collaboration, General, etc.
Means of notification
For each event, the available types of notifications are: Platform, Approval, Push and/or E-mail. The configuration options available for each notification type in each event are:
- Enable: when selected, it determines that the type of notification chosen for the event in question is available for users to use and is enabled by default;
- Disable: when selected, it determines that the type of notification chosen for the event in question is available for users to use and is disabled by default;
- Off: when selected, it determines that the type of notification chosen for the event in question is unavailable for users to use.
Some events are mandatory and are notified on the platform by default. In this case, you cannot disable the notification on the platform, only the other types.
Configure notification cleanup
01. In the main menu, click Control Panel, then check People container and click Notifications.
02. In Clear notifications, enable or disable the clear all notifications and clear read notifications feature, in the Actions column.
The button displays ON, indicating that notification cleanup is enabled. When notification cleanup is enabled, a record is created in the Task Scheduler. It is important to keep this task because if it is deleted, the cleanup setting is automatically disabled. When this feature is disabled, the button displays OFF.
Cleanup covers only Web platform notifications and not those generated by the Fluig Mobile app. It is also important to note that the notification cleanup routine will not delete notifications that require a user action, which remain stored until an action is taken.
03. If the cleanup feature for all notifications and read notifications is enabled, click Edit
